In a state that has endured some of its hardest years, few things have carried as much collective memory, joy, and spirit as the Wahyum Festival of Arts & Music (Wahyumfest). What began in 2021 as a humble independent festival quickly transformed into Manipur’s largest celebration of art, music, and togetherness. For many, Wahyumfest wasn’t just an event; it was a moment in time where thousands gathered under the open sky to reconnect with hope!
A Festival Born from Creativity and Community
Wahyum Festival’s origins are rooted in a simple dream: to give Manipur a space where artists, musicians, and audiences could come together and create something unforgettable. By 2022, the festival had expanded into a three-day phenomenon featuring major acts like Parikrama, Girish & The Chronicles, and a sea of prolific local artists. Its energy was raw, electric, and deeply rooted in the artistic identity of the Northeast.
But beyond the performances, what truly set Wahyumfest apart was its spirit of unity. The festival became a safe space where strangers danced together, communities bonded, and creativity flowed freely. It was a reminder that art, even in difficult times, can bridge divides in ways nothing else can.
A Pause || But Not an Ending!
The conflict in Manipur brought many things to a standstill, and Wahyum Festival’s 2023 and 2024 editions were heartbreakingly cancelled. The announcement felt like a void; not just in the entertainment scene, but in the emotional landscape of the people who looked forward to those two days of magic every year.
Yet the Wahyum community remained alive. The messages shared online showed the festival’s heartbeat: gratitude, nostalgia, resilience, and hope. The Wahyum team openly acknowledged the pain of not gathering, but they also reminded everyone of the timeless truth:
Art survives! Music survives!
Community survives! And so does Wahyum!
The Return: Wahyum 3.0 - A Promise of Light
Now, after years of longing, the much-awaited announcement has arrived:
Wahyum 3.0 is set for 13th & 14th December 2025.
The poster, vibrant and chaotic in the best artistic way, reflects exactly what Wahyum stands for,
creativity without boundaries.
The early bird tickets are already sold out!
This return is more than just a festival date. It is a symbol of resilience, a sign that despite everything, the community is choosing celebration, art, and life.
Wahyum’s comeback arrives at a moment when Manipur needs light, joy, and collective healing more than ever. And there is no better place to rediscover that spirit than at an event built on unity, openness, and love for the arts.
Looking Ahead >
As Wahyum Festival prepares for its grand return, the anticipation is already building. Old memories are resurfacing; new expectations are growing. The community is ready. The artists are ready. And Mayflos stands proud to support one of Manipur’s most meaningful cultural movements.
Because Wahyum was never just a festival.
It was and remains - a feeling shared by thousands.
And in 2025, that feeling finally comes home!
